2009 Women's Fishing Contest

Order WFC Hats! Hats support the WFC! Fish on!
The 5th Annual Women’s Fishing Contest (WFC) May 19, 2008 was cold, windy and rainy, not an ideal day for fishing. Despite the harsh conditions 11 teams braved the elements. The fish might have been the smarter ones, hiding out in the warm spots. BUT the Smart Basses found the honey pot and hooked on to first place with 4 lbs of fish! Second place went to the Community Sanitation Girls with 2 ¾ lbs of fish. There was a 6-way tie for 3rd place and by drawing the lucky raffle ticket the ‘The Get R Done Girls grabbed the 3rd place prize money! Our fishing skills were put to the test last year without a doubt, lets hope this year it’s warmer and the fish are not so shy.

Check the Top Anglers and the Recreation Cove sections for the 2008 winners, team pictures and after hour’s fun. Take a minute to click on all the links of the website, if there is anything that you would like to contribute such as pictures, stories or ideas please do so by email, we would like to capture as much personality as we can from each of the teams.
